HUD is pleased to announce the availability of the Continuum of Care (CoC) Racial Equity Analysis Tool to help communities understand who is accessing their homeless service system and what outcomes those families and individuals are realizing. Over the past year the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) has been highlighting promising practices from the field on how to better understand and address the overrepresentation of people of color among those experiencing homelessness. There are 3 days remaining until the application submission deadline for the HMIS Capacity Building Project Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Unless you have received an extension from HUD, all applications must be submitted by Thursday, January 31, 2019 by 11:59:59 PM EST. Applications shall be submitted to Grants.gov unless a waiver has been issued allowing you to submit your application in paper form. Instructions for submitting your paper application will be contained in the waiver of electronic submission. As a reminder, “Received by Grants.gov” means the applicant received a confirmation of receipt and an application tracking number from Grants.gov. …

HUD Closed – HUD Exchange Website Operational

Due to the lapse in Congressional Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is closed. The HUD Exchange website is supported by a cooperative agreement funded under a prior appropriation. Current functions will remain operational but no new functions will be added during the lapse in appropriations. For more information, see HUD Contingency Plan for Possible Lapse in Appropriations.

The deadline for submitting official Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) is TODAY, Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST. Before you click the “Submit for Review” button (located in the Data Summary View tab) for your upload, make sure: Your upload is marked as Official HUD Submission, not Local Use Only. The deadline for submitting official Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) is 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 14, 2018. LSA uploads are extracted directly from each Continuum of Care’s (CoC’s) Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Unlike with prior AHAR submissions, changes to data cannot be made manually. Therefore, to resolve data quality warnings in the HDX 2.0, CoCs will either need to write notes to explain why the data are accurate as they are, or fix any issues …

HUD this morning has sent out the below information regarding the LSA export and HDX. We are passing along this information to you: “HDX 2.0 Users: Thanks to your ongoing diligent review, we have identified several new bugs in the system related to warnings and calculations for the “Chronic Homelessness and Disabling Condition” display. First, since our calculation updates last week, the warnings being thrown for data results in these fields are being applied to the wrong fields. In addition, for the AO-RRH and AO-PSH results, the results are displaying inaccurately. These results do not mean that your underlying data …
