HUD this morning has sent out the below information regarding the LSA export and HDX. We are passing along this information to you: “HDX 2.0 Users: Thanks to your ongoing diligent review, we have identified several new bugs in the system related to warnings and calculations for the “Chronic Homelessness and Disabling Condition” display. First, since our calculation updates last week, the warnings being thrown for data results in these fields are being applied to the wrong fields. In addition, for the AO-RRH and AO-PSH results, the results are displaying inaccurately. These results do not mean that your underlying data …

HDX 2.0 Updates/Corrections—Action Required

The HDX 2.0 has been updated to correct LSA calculations displaying in the onscreen summary view tables. We apologize for the delay. CoCs will need to re-upload LSA files to see these changes carried out. We strongly encourage CoCs to delete older LSA uploads to avoid confusion in the future. The following Summary Data calculations were corrected: AO “missing/don’t know/refused” for gender, age, race and ethnicity, veteran status, and DV status results have been corrected AO “age” category 18-21 now includes clients who turned 18 during the report period AO and AC “veteran age” now displays the age of the …

Action Required: 2018 LSA Data Submission and New Resources

Due to the complexities of the new Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) process, the deadline for submitting official LSA data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) has been extended to 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 14, 2018 and any Continuums of Care (CoCs) who have already uploaded their data will need to re-upload their Official data once HUD announces fixes to HDX 2.0, following the steps outlined below. Coordinated Entry Annual Performance Report (CE APR) What deadline were the vendors given for creating the Coordinated Entry APR in the software? Were the software vendors advised of the data that you’re requesting on those statistical elements?  Vendors are not required to create an APR for CE project from HMIS but you are encouraged to work with your vendor if you need their assistance in reporting the statistical information. HUD is committed to ending homelessness and believes good, reliable information is essential to that effort. We have made a long-term investment in Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) to provide this information. HMIS has become integral to day-to-day delivery of resources to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, monitoring the use of federal funding, informing funding decisions, and allowing communities to develop data-driven strategies to positively impact their efforts to end homelessness.
