The deadline for submitting official Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) is TODAY, Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST. Before you click the “Submit for Review” button (located in the Data Summary View tab) for your upload, make sure: Your upload is marked as Official HUD Submission, not Local Use Only. You have resolved any warnings flagged in the HDX 2.0 by either leaving a note in the system and selecting a warning status from the warning’s …

The deadline for submitting official Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) is 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 14, 2018. LSA uploads are extracted directly from each Continuum of Care’s (CoC’s) Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Unlike with prior AHAR submissions, changes to data cannot be made manually. Therefore, to resolve data quality warnings in the HDX 2.0, CoCs will either need to write notes to explain why the data are accurate as they are, or fix any issues …

HUD this morning has sent out the below information regarding the LSA export and HDX. We are passing along this information to you: “HDX 2.0 Users: Thanks to your ongoing diligent review, we have identified several new bugs in the system related to warnings and calculations for the “Chronic Homelessness and Disabling Condition” display. First, since our calculation updates last week, the warnings being thrown for data results in these fields are being applied to the wrong fields. In addition, for the AO-RRH and AO-PSH results, the results are displaying inaccurately. These results do not mean that your underlying data …

Applications are due January 31, 2019. This NOFA provides $5 million in one-time funding to help communities improve their Continuum of Care’s (CoC) Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Improvements can mean different things for different communities. It may mean: Consolidating HMIS implementations to gain economies of scale and expertise Modifying software to better support communities to meet HUD HMIS regulatory requirements A concerted effort to increase the …

HDX 2.0 Updates/Corrections—Action Required

The HDX 2.0 has been updated to correct LSA calculations displaying in the onscreen summary view tables. We apologize for the delay. CoCs will need to re-upload LSA files to see these changes carried out. We strongly encourage CoCs to delete older LSA uploads to avoid confusion in the future. The following Summary Data calculations were corrected: AO “missing/don’t know/refused” for gender, age, race and ethnicity, veteran status, and DV status results have been corrected AO “age” category 18-21 now includes clients who turned 18 during the report period AO and AC “veteran age” now displays the age of the …

Due to the complexities of the new Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA) process, the deadline for submitting official LSA data for use in the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress via the new Homelessness Data Exchange, Version 2.0 (HDX 2.0) has been extended to 11:59 PM PST on Friday, December 14, 2018 and any Continuums of Care (CoCs) who have already uploaded their data will need to re-upload their Official data once HUD announces fixes to HDX 2.0, following the steps outlined below. Were the software vendors advised of the data that you’re requesting on those statistical elements?  Vendors are not required to create an APR for CE project from HMIS but you are encouraged to work with your vendor if you need their assistance in reporting the statistical information.
