WellSky Article – 5 Steps to Better Outcomes from Your Provider Network

Your community-based organization depends on service providers to achieve your mission. Yet managing a provider network effectively is challenging! It’s often hard to get past feel-good anecdotes and impressions, and make decisions based on objective results. Gerry Leslie, HMIS Project Director for Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness, shared this 5-step plan to implement a data-driven approach that can improve the lives of people in your community.   1. WellSky LSA Export Update

HUD has announced the extension of LSA export re-submissions to April 22nd, 2019. Vendors have until April 18th, 2019 to update the code with any relevant changes. Abt acknowledges that this provides our customers with a limited submission window and they will be evaluating whether or not they need to extend the submission window again. Abt recommends that our customers review the non-vendor errors/warnings in their flag files to determine what fixes, if any, are needed and then resubmit the file to get the errors cleared. Abt does not recommend that customers wait for vendors to make their changes before …

An email was sent to us on Monday, March 11, 2019 from Abt Associates that provided high-level summary information about data that the data reviewers have flagged for further review. We are still in the process of updating the 0628/0629/0630 ART Gallery reports for the 2019 submission of the HIC/PIT information to HUD. HUD has not yet announced the submission deadline for this information. We performed a test auto-mapper run last weekend due to the changes we made to the report to see how many sites could receive the report. During the test we ran into issues with Client Location and night-by-night shelters in the report so we removed it late last night from the ART Gallery. We will send out an announcement once we are ready to officially release …
